About the Role

You're a tech start-up triple threat. You've got the experience working with sales teams, a confident grasp on quality content creation and a solid background in product marketing. Perhaps most importantly you have a get-sh*t done approach to your role. Note, this is not a sales role!

As Marketing Specialist, you will work with our marketing team and will be primarily responsible for supercharging Rival's rapidly growing sales team. We need you to provide our sales team with the right materials, tools, and resources they need to convert leads, accelerate the sales cycle and close more deals at a higher value in less time. Our sales team has some monster targets for 2021 and we need someone who can help them hit those numbers.

As the Marketing Specialist you will:

  • Work directly with the Senior Director of Marketing with unfettered access to the CRO and our most senior salespeople.
  • Develop a sales enablement strategy, execution plan and metrics.
  • Develop reports and dashboards enable sales reps and leaders.
  • Develop content for outreach campaigns, reviewing sales outreach messaging and generating prospect lists.
  • Support senior sales and account managers on developing nurturing content for key accounts.
  • Review, provide feedback and coordinate content for sales proposals and pitch decks.
  • Work with senior business and sales leaders to monitor sales KPI's and implement strategies to improve.
  • Develop sales training tools and critical middle of the funnel sales content.
  • Examples of sales content that should be audited and organized include:
  • Customer case studies
  • Whitepapers and ebooks
  • Product demo decks
  • Explainer videos
  • Leveraging our technology to produce platform demo
  • Maintain a central location for all existing sales content and ensure the content is accessible and being used effectively.
  • Competitive intelligence briefs and battle cards.
  • You'll also be responsible for creating killer case studies and creating the foundation for a future customer marketing program.
  • Manage a budget and coordinate with external partners such as designers, copywriters and producers.

This is not an exhaustive list. This is your program and we'll be looking to you for idea on how to bring this to life.

We are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years working directly within a marketing team directly supporting Sales.
  • Experience in building sales reports and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more CRM software products like, HubSpot, Salesloft and more.
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Project Management and/or any experience conducting training would be considered valuable.
  • Ability to multi-task in a SUPER fast paced environment.
  • Willingness and passion to quickly learn skills and knowledge that you don't currently possess.
  • Strong leadership & communication skills.
  • A skilled tactician and executor.
