The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting an effective two-way communications plan for our national, decentralized organization. The successful candidate will be an expert listener and communicator, partnering with the National Support Centre (NSC) team and leaders in the field to ensure communications flow fluidly and transparently.

Job Duties:

  • Support a two-way communication strategy between our NSC and Profit Centres
  • Work with NSC departments to develop/design communications and marketing materials
  • Determine effectiveness of communications to ensure the right message is being received
  • Maintain and oversee a successful internal communication platform (Intranet site)
  • Meet with stakeholders to assess and make necessary changes and improvements to functionality, design and content of the intranet to reflect the company's needs
  • Write and edit content for various internal and external communications and documents
  • Design, create and edit marketing collateral, including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, logos, websites, videos and presentations

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Related Field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in marketing and/or internal communication
  • Proven knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with social media and website content creation
  • Experience with Web User Interface Design (UI), WordPress and SharePoint an asset
  • Video editing experience would be considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work with multiple departments and build positive relationships with managers and teammates
  • Able to prioritize projects and conflicting deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and/or other industry standard analytics tools
  • Resourceful, and willing to develop new skills independently
  • Ability to work independently with a great sense of organization and execution of tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Must be a team player and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in French and English would be an asset
