The Social Media Coordinator, Social Selling, will report to the Senior Social Media Manager, Social Selling, and will be accountable for supporting our partners across marketing and sales forces in Canada and the United States with social media tools and strategies. The person in this position will be responsible for creating internal marketing materials and external social content, facilitating approvals of multiple stakeholders, troubleshooting, training and more. The role comes with a high degree of visibility and works closely with cross-functional teams.


Program Management & Measurement (70%):

Program Management - Serve as the point person for multiple Social Selling initiatives alongside the Senior Social Media Manager, Social Selling, by organizing regular calls for each group, setting the agenda, managing program participation and facilitating training opportunities.

Measuring and Reporting - Measure the performance of social media content and user engagement and provide ongoing recommendations for optimization. Create and distribute regular scorecards for each initiative and lead discussions with key partners on results.

Building Team Expertise - Stay informed of the latest developments and best practices of a quickly evolving field of Social Selling to better support partners and help influence BMO's social media strategy.

Content Creation (20%):

Content Creation - Create social content calendars and posts for various lines of business, research third-party content opportunities, facilitate approvals with marketing and compliance partners, and upload content to vendor platform.

Internal Marketing - Craft and distribute newsletters and other materials to encourage program participation and optimization, including presentations on best practices and capturing case studies.

Relationship Management (10%):

Be a social media ambassador to other parts of the company and share best practices on how to authentically engage on social platforms, provide online expertise in collaboration with internal and external partners while providing plans and recommendations to improve social media experiences while ensuring best practices and standards are maintained.


University degree and proven working experience in social media, communications or as a public relations coordinator

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable in dealing with varied audiences, including senior management

Solid understanding of social media and the digital landscape (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) and online user experience

Superior and proven organization and project management skills

Self-starter with a strong sense of autonomy and initiative & passion for quick-evolving social media environment

Strong content writing skills


Social Selling experience

Experience with social selling tools such as Sprinklr/Hearsay/Hootsuite

Financial industry experience

Strong data analytics skills and experience with digital marketing analytics systems

Bilingual (French/English)
