About the Role
The Marketing Business Partner
- Senior Specialist will be responsible for growth marketing of products, programs, and services, and content development and management, for both internal and external audiences. We are looking for someone who has a detailed understanding of marketing communications and integrated marketing in a multichannel environment, including Marketing Automation experience. This colleague will work closely with and mentor other marketing colleagues to develop, execute, and administer marketing programs and projects, with and without direct supervision. Marsh Canada seeks an entrepreneurial, energetic, and highly collaborative experienced modern marketing specialist with excellent attention to detail plus a commitment to client centricity and colleague engagement.

You will be responsible for delivering meaningful client and colleague experiences through sales enablement, marketing, and communications by partnering with the business to help drive measurable retention and growth. The Senior Specialist will report to the National Marketing Leader and work with Sales Leaders and other key stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and communications strategy. You should understand how different channels impact each other and have a fine eye for detailed planning, including ROI modeling and forecasting. As a senior member of the team, you will need excellent management skills. You can communicate and influence at all levels within the business to get things done quickly and efficiently. We will count on you to:
Develop, implement, manage and report on proactive, integrated, and compelling marketing and client communications strategies that drive lead generation, growth, and retention
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and programs tied to Marsh Canada's Growth Industries and broader business objectives, with a particular focus on product/service-related content, and client and prospect campaigns
Serve as a strategic marketing partner to practice leaders, guiding them on appropriate positioning of their practice internally and externally and working on value propositions
Develop, produce, and distribute promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs and campaigns
Develop client and corporate thought leadership, including digital media, articles, white papers, and newsletters
Edit copy received from internal and outside sources and write original content based on input from various experts
Coordinate advertising and promotional activities linked to professional conferences and associations, seminars, educational opportunities, and other activities
Collaborate with Global Marketing colleagues to localize and adapt the strategy to Canadian client needs
Prioritize and deliver regional marketing and ?sales enablement' services and solutions to the business
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing in respect to areas such as engagement, pipeline stage, and ROI
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities
Help establish and maintain consistent corporate image and purpose propositions
Develop and coordinate the execution of surveys and questionnaires and analyze the data collected from these methods to draw upon client insight
Evaluate research collected and reaction to promotional activities to recommend strategy adjustments
What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from College or university
Experience in delivering impactful campaigns in rapidly-changing, highly-regulated, technologically dynamic environments
Seven or more years of industry-related marketing experience and marketing management
Experience in technology in general, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and information
Ability to write articles and promotional materials that conform to prescribed style and format
Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines
Effective team player
What makes you stand out:
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills on both technical and non-technical matters, including the ability to write clear and concise content and collateral &/or edit content provided by the broader business &/or subject matter experts
Marketing Automation Experience (particularly Pardot) highly desirable
Knowledge of the French language a plus
Management/Team Leadership experience desirable
Hands-on experience with marketing and communications technologies/channels, including marketing automation and social media
Ability to understand, tailor and communicate complex business, legal and technical issues for various audiences
Well organized and self-motivated with proven ability to work to deadlines and manage projects to meet defined KPIs
A confident and dynamic personality with the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with senior leaders and individuals of influence global stakeholders
Relevant industry or insurance experience would be a strong advantage
