Position Description:

The Finance and Media Communications Specialist will be accountable for a combination of media, public and investor relations activities in order to sustain and enhance the public company communications presence and investor relations functions for Atlas. This position will assist in driving the development and implementation of financial media and investor relations strategies, developing applied public and external messaging to members of the media and investment community on behalf of the company. Responsible for monitoring and synthesizing financial market trends and narratives, industry and public company peer and sector trends, and company and peer investment performance management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of materials related to the quarterly earnings calls including but not limited to; investor presentation, fact sheet, Q&A development, financial back-up, post-event reporting, earning press release, scripts and transcript reviews
  • Ensure accurate and timely coverage of company data, events and news in both the broader and financial media
  • Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor and proactively engage with members of the financial and broader media communities
  • Analyze sell-side analyst notes and review sell-side analyst financial models for accuracy and reasonableness of assumption, ensuring accurate depiction of consensus estimates
  • Develop unique and compelling media outreach and marketing campaigns as directed in the short term, growing to independently develop, manage, and proactively progress the company's narrative to external audiences in the long term
  • Track consensuses estimate from covering equity analysts across business and financial metrics
  • Prepare competitive analysis of peers and partners, and track key financial and qualitative public disclosures for Senior Management and Board of Directors
  • Perform valuation analysis on the company stock, peer groups, and the market, to develop insight on overall and relative performance
  • Assist in the development and coordination of Annual Meetings, Investor Days, and roadshows, including; preparing briefing materials, market intelligence requests, and contact management
  • Manage day-to-day constituent management resources, lists and information repositories.
  • Collaborates with third-party service providers
  • Supports long-range projects such as ESG strategy, targeting reporting, and enhancements to the IR site

Responds to ad-hoc requests Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field with emphasis in marketing
  • Minimum of three years' relevant work experience
  • Understanding of capital markets and corporate finance
  • Strong financial modelling, presentation creation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Persuasive and influencing capabilities
  • Passionate and inquisitive
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships, and engage with senior leadership
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • MBA or CFA is considered an asset
