The Global Connected Services Marketing Communications Manager plays a key role in driving the success of OnStar and Connected Vehicle Subscription Services in Canada. Focused on putting the customer at the centre of everything we do, this role is responsible for leading and managing all marketing communication activities for OnStar, Vehicle Connected Services, SiriusXM, as well as, multiple innovation projects being launched now and in the near future. In addition to working with the local & global GCS teams, you will work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders at GM Canada, including: Vehicle Marketing Teams, PR and the Field Sales Team, as well as, agency partners.

Key Responsibilities
As the GCS Marketing Communications Manager, you are responsible for all elements of marketing communication for the GCS team. You will develop a clear understanding of the Canadian Consumer & Market Dynamics and work with both agency and internal partners to develop plans to improve Brand Awareness, Opinion and Consideration for OnStar, drive adoption on all connected services (existing and new innovations), drive cross functional integration across the enterprise, as well as, drive subscription sales and usage in Canada.
Specific Responsibilities include :
Driving all Canadian Marketing Communications activities (leveraging U.S. and unique to Canada assets and platforms)
Digital: Web/Mobile
Search
Social
Media Planning
Creative Development
IDDN (In-Dealer Digital Advertising)
Point of Sale (POS)
Auto Shows & other brand activations
Strategic Partnerships
Internal and external communications
Understanding and developing plans to support:
Unique Canadian country laws (eg. Privacy, Privacy, Competition, etc.)
Unique Canadian language requirements (French & other Multi Cultural language nuances)
Unique Canadian market requirements
Managing the Media and Production budget
Launching New Subscription Services and Products across all communications channels
Develop strong working relationships with U.S. GCS and GM Canada cross functional teams (VSM, Comms, CCA, Legal, etc.)
Ensuring engagement & favorably influence OnStar & Connected Services integration with Retail & Brand Marketing teams
Supervising French Adaptation Team
Managing the internal approval process for creative assets: Marketing, Product Planning, Legal
Developing and executing the Comms Launch Readiness Roadmaps for Canada
Integrating seamlessly into the Global GCS Team processes & Maintaining close engagement
Gaining a deep understanding of the GCS business model (how we make money)
