Title: Junior Graphic Designer

Position Summary:

The Junior Graphic Designer, with strong graphic design capabilities, will work in coordination with various departments or collaborating partners to design and develop BJBMW's marketing materials through various platforms and methods. The Junior Graphic Designer will support marketing campaigns to design from concept to execution of creatives and frontend of digital marketing. Junior Graphic Designer will assist with Digital Marketing by focusing on creative execution and the frontend of digital marketing.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Ensure the creatives created for various campaigns align with Brian Jessel BMW and BMW Canada brand and suitable for target audience.

Creatives created are high

  • quality, detailed and compatible with the platform or print specification.

Develops and assist in the execution of marketing campaigns in coordination with responsible management.

Executes successful digital marketing campaigns in coordination with the Digital Marketing Manager

Ensure responsible creative projects are completed on time with limited to no errors.

Ensures accuracy with budget tracking to actual spend.

Effectively organizes and defines operational objectives.

Contributes to departmental organization and participation which impact positive outcomes.

Builds long term business and relationships for the dealership and departments.

Builds customer loyalty with other events and initiatives.

Ensures administrative and data entry tasks are with limited to no errors.

Assists support and ensure in-house events are executed smoothly.

Creative & Branding

Designing the creatives for marketing campaigns in coordination with Marketing team members and department managers ensuring the creatives resonate with target audience and the Brian Jessel BMW brand.

Ensuring all creative is compliant with the Brian Jessel BMW, BMW Canada Corporate brand, and collaborating licensor guidelines such as templates for social and retail channels and style guide.

Create compatible graphics for various channels such as but not limited to banners, email campaigns, social media, web landing pages, prints or other digital platforms.

Support team brainstorming by sharing new messaging, graphics, or campaign ideas.

Design and create brand assets for internal and external use including client presentations and other resources.

Support all production of creative ads for print, digital and web banners.

Liaison with different print vendors for special projects.

Assist with creative development and in-house ad creation related to all events, initiatives and promotions.

Keeps abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances in the industry and with competitors.

Digital Marketing

Assist with social media content creation with Digital Marketing Manager.

Assist with the development of online promotions through the creation of digital ads and web banners.

Understand our digital plan and implementing the processes.

Administrative Operation and Coordination

Provide administrative support for creative, ad schedules and plans.

Coordinate with media buys contacts to disseminate weekly ads.

Support company project photography when needed.

Update database and coordination using Microsoft Excel.

Provides department support with company events.

Job Specifications

1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design, a post-secondary degree in Graphic Design, Digital media or equivalent combination of education and experiences.

Solid understanding of Brand Identity, Design and Style guides, SEO and HTML.

Advance skills in using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Possesses a thorough understanding of the print production process.

Self-motivated and able to collaborate in a team environment or independently.

Excellent time management skills to adhere to deadlines and strong work ethics.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Flexible and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).

Work Environment:

Sales Showroom Hours may change depending on operational needs.

8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Thursday

8:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday

9:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday

12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday & Statutory Holidays
