Reporting to the Vice President, Communications and Strategic Partnerships, the Director, Digital Content is the voice of our brand. Your innate ability to spot a good story and making it connect with people

  • makes you a natural storyteller. Your network of influencers are just as keen to work with you in distributing powerful stories that matter.

As Director, Digital Content, you drive communications content initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to engage diverse stakeholders, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. Applying best practices in connecting people to amazing content, you lead on the development of communications strategies and branding initiatives linked to our vision, purpose and values. You provide leadership to a team of content strategists continually striving to better engage our communities to advance awareness campaigns, develop innovative approaches to digital engagement and create content that matters.

Leading our digital community engagement efforts, you're on top of every social media update, you live and breathe digital KPIs, and building our brand and keeping it relevant is as essential to you as your morning coffee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related communications field, supplemented with ten (10) plus years' experience in progressively more complex senior management/leadership roles in a large, multi-stakeholder environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

ROLE SPECIFIC EXPERTISE:

  • The Director, Digital Content transforms the way we leverage content to connect internal and external audiences to meaningful change and evolve the way we think about our values, our strategic priorities and our purpose.
  • Drives all aspects of VCH digital communications strategy ensuring thought leadership, collaboration and understanding of the organization's vision, values and strategic direction as well as consistency and continuity of messages and publications.
  • Oversees digital communications strategies
  • storytelling, channel strategy and optimization, digital marketing, audience engagement, creative production, brand voice, digital analytics and insights, and meaningful campaign measurement
  • to proactively develop and advance the brand and reputation of the organization.
  • Provides leadership and expertise in the development of strategic digital communications policies, procedures, initiatives and services for VCH.
  • Establishes and oversees KPIs in engagement metrics (growth, sentiment, engagement, feedback, rankings, conversions, etc) for communications platforms including (but not limited to) website, intranet, social media, subscriptions, feeds and other forms of communications reach.
  • Oversees and/or leads high profile corporate initiatives ensuring appropriate organizational branding, change management communication, and embracing of the organization' vision and strategy.
  • Provides overall leadership and direction to team members using effective management techniques (e.g., coaching, mentoring, skill and leadership development, performance management).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
