Shift is looking to fill a Junior Marketing Coordinator position who will support the Marketing Manager. The position requires someone who is flexible and who can wear multiple hats. This individual will embrace our unique and innovative startup culture.


Social media management and content creation

Draft marketing copy and materials as needed including website landing pages, social media posts, and course descriptions for our internal training platform.

Podcast audio editing

Graphic design

Creating marketing emails

Monitoring of various Google tools

Some photo and video editing

Some website management

Working with management on brand development

Various administrative duties (basic HR and Operations)

You're best for the job if you have the following traits and skills:

Social media savvy with a strong understanding of aspirational branding

Understanding of and experience with SEO and SEM

Aesthetic talent and experience with graphic design and creating social media posts

Detail oriented and organized; you can keep track of your tasks and deadlines

Analytical with an understanding of metrics and data, and don't hate charts, reporting or scheduling

Experience with copywriting and editing

You have strong alignment with Shift's core values

You have an ability to wear multiple hats and embrace the flexibility of a startup culture

Strong communication skills: you're capable of direct conversation and two way feedback

You have an understanding of marketing principles and techniques

Leadership and willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.

Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment.

Experience in creating, coordinating, and communicating project timelines.

Proficiency with the following tools and platforms:


Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)

Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, etc)


Familiarity with:




Search Console

Tag Manager




Certifications in any and all things Digital Marketing

Experience pitching PR stories to media outlets

Link building techniques and experience


Post secondary education is required, with preference given to majors in marketing and communications.
