System1's editorial team creates engaging and relevant content across our collection of publishing sites to attract users at scale. We cover a wide range of verticals, from pop culture to personal finance to health & fitness and more! Our Content Editors employ the latest SEO and social media principles to attract new users and work with our online marketing teams to improve advertising and traffic across sites.

Our team is expanding to include a Content Editor focused on our Fame10 site. You will work with freelance writers to produce content related to today's most popular soap operas, like General Hospital, The Young & The Restless, Days of Our Lives, and others. Using the latest trend research, you will guide development of relevant content geared toward a diverse audience, with share-ability and traffic generation in mind.

The Role You Will Have

  • Own content production within the Fame10 vertical, specifically covering our 4 most popular soap opera audiences (Young & the Restless, General Hospital, Days of our Lives, and Bold & the Beautiful)
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and social media teams to effectively target audiences across platforms
  • Manage a team of freelance writers, providing proofreading and editing of content on a regular basis as well as feedback to improve quality
  • Use regular research and trend data to develop new topics and themes within the vertical
  • Use the WordPress CMS to publish content according to calendar deadlines

What You Will Bring

  • 2-3 years professional content creation experience is preferred, but a combination of writing experience will be considered
  • Established research, creative writing and editorial processes
  • Experience creating and/or editing SEO-driven content is highly preferred
  • Experience working with tight deadlines and proactively communicating obstacles with solutions in mind
  • Experience with publishing to top social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Proficiency with WordPress CMS
  • Broad familiarity and interest in soap operas or related programs is highly preferred
  • Background in journalism, creative writing, or professional blogging & social media content production is preferred
  • A 4-year degree is not required for this role, but study in journalism, creative writing, English, digital media, or marketing is desirable
