The MAC Marketing Specialist

  • Product and Consumer Marketing role will support the Marketing Director in the creation, coordination and execution of Product and Consumer Marketing launches and programming that will drive growth in the Canadian market. The role will focus on assisting and executing global and locally relevant programs and activations to support the diverse and unique demographic that is Canada. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: (a) support of Product/Program Launch planning and execution, (b) Post launch Product/Program tracking and communication, (c) NPD Market analysis, tracking and communication, (d) locally relevant CRM programming and execution, and (e) Media execution and post analysis. The ideal candidate is a highly adaptable, results driven individual that thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and who is focused on defining and executing programs to support our Free Standing Stores (FSS) and Retail Partners (RP) needs in creative and innovative ways.

  • Attend and actively participate in all Launch Consensus, Trade Marketing/Product Marketing and New Launch NOAM & CA

meetings to ensure Canadian requirements are being considered/met and ensure that all relevant information is then

cascaded to appropriate CA Team members

  • Project manage ALL CA specific product (saleable and non-saleable) initiatives, ensuring programs are launched within budget

and on time (working with internal and external partners)

  • Co-ordinate and chair weekly Planning and Marketing meetings
  • Work closely with NOAM and local teams in the development and execution of launch assets and communications

  • Maintain the Program Distribution tracker
  • Create and maintain the Product/Program Tracker to ensure accurate capture of all launch, sales and program data that will

assist in the development of future program development and product forecasting

  • Analyse program performance to deliver both quantitative and qualitative feedback to measure ROI for future programs and

enhancements

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PRODUCT MARKETING

  • Manage the data pull, reconciliation of sales information and communication of monthly NPD results
  • Prepare competitive analysis to support pricing and launch programs (on-going)
  • Prepare/report on noteworthy activity from identified competitive set (on-going)
  • Bi-annual competitive pricing review in support of brand pricing updates/reconciliation including date entry in all relevant

systems and co-ordination between NOAM and Global teams to ensure seamless/accurate execution

  • Work closely with Marketing counterparts, co-ordinate/manage the MAC CA Sampling forecast, ordering, and tracking process
  • Execute the co-ordination between all interdepartmental teams and then distribution of the Weekly Communication Tracker

and all Product Launch Communication decks

  • Execute the proofing of all Pricing related VM and Communication documents

CONSUMER MARKETING

  • Assist the Marketing Director and Marketing team in the development and execution of locally relevant CTC and Ethnic

marketing programs

  • Monthly analysis of CRM information/data to assist in the development of locally relevant CRM programs and executions to

help drive OMNI channel and repeat consumer behaviours

  • Work closely with the Assistant Marketing Managers (SMC and FSS/Partner Stores) to ensure cohesive programming

between all facets of the business

  • Responsible for the development of the following elements in the execution of all Media programs: (a) program input into

the Creative Matrix, (b) translation of all required assets, (c) PO issuance and tracking, (d) reconciliation of Invoices and

(e) follow up of post analysis

GENERAL MARKETING

  • Maintain the Marketing Budget/Invoice tracking and reconciliation
  • Execute/co-ordinate French translations as required (for Marketing, Integrated Communications and Merchandising teams)
  • Coordination and execution of PO's for Integrated Communications and Visual Merchandising teams
  • Assist in all incoming marketing inquires as necessary
  • Co-ordination and development of seasonal Marketing Presentations
  • Continue to support Marketing Director with administrative functions as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience within a marketing role (ideally within beauty) and:

  • Be highly organised, able to juggle/manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Utilize sound judgement and be self-motivated and keen to learn in a fast-paced/evolving environment
  • Possess strong knowledge of the beauty marketplace including the online space
  • Understanding of and passion for beauty
  • Experience in promotional program development, production/project management, and execution
  • Experience working with Visual Display in the development and execution of merchandising assets
  • Experience in NPD market, competitive promotional and pricing and mix of business analysis
  • Experience/knowledge of CRM and Loyalty programming and analysis
  • Exposure to/or experience in Media execution and post analysis
  • Knowledge in all Social channels
  • Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel [Intermediate/Advanced, highly numerical], PowerPoint [Intermediate/Advanced, high level of creativity])
  • Be reliable, committed, and willing to go above and beyond as and when the brand requires
