Emerald Health Therapeutics (EHT) is a Health Canada Licensed Producer of medical and adult-use cannabis and cannabis derivatives. A seed-to-sale enterprise, Emerald has combined core competencies from decades of experience in pharmaceutical innovation with large-scale agriculture and extraction expertise. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining quality and coherent visuals and messaging for Emerald's adult-use and medical cannabis products through brand development, creative design, project management and managing multi-channel campaigns. This position is to cover a maternity leave, with a start date of June 1st.

Job requirements include;

Designing and Executing Trade Marketing Assets

  • Designing content, visuals and layout for print and digital trade marketing assets for Emerald Health Therapeutics' adult-use and medical brands
  • Writing romance copy
  • Working with the Quality Assurance department to assure copy and creative is compliant
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to create in-market trade assets
  • Organizing printing and shipping of print publications
  • Managing distribution of digital trade assets to regional sales managers
  • Updating all digital and print content with current data


  • Brand development for Emerald's adult-use and medical cannabis products
  • Creating logos, brand themes, conceptual artwork, brand narrative, ideal packaging mockups, in-store displays and swag.

Website Design and Maintenance

  • Managing the theme and content on the Emerald website
  • Creating digital artwork and assets for website
  • Creating and updating content on website

Digital Marketing

  • Managing weekly Mailchimp email campaigns to provincial retailers
  • Work with the Sales department to develop current creative and copy for directed email campaigns that outline provincial product inventory and product highlights based on sales data and product launches

Social Media

  • Directing social media strategies
  • Designing and approving photographs, artwork, graphics and messaging for social media posts
  • Analyzing customer feedback from social media platforms and troubleshooting arising issues

Educational Material

  • Designing educational material on new products and technologies for the general public
  • Creating infographics
  • Simplifying complex concepts for a general audience


  • Presenting ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams
  • Engaging in constructive criticism
  • Coordinating and collaborating with Sales and Marketing team

Digital Assets

  • Photographing and photoshopping cannabis flowers for each strain to be used in trade assets
  • Photography and video for marketing and sales purposes
  • Lightbox photography of cannabis flowers for strain portfolios
  • Product and packaging photography
  • Coordinating and editing leadership profile photos

Press Releases

  • Working with the Investor Relation department to write press releases related to brand and product launches.

Work is generally sedentary but will require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, occasional standing, walking, and lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. Occasional travel required.

Expenses associated with marking and sales projects are reviewed and approved by the Sales and Marketing Director.



  • 2-5 years' experience in marketing and/or communications
  • Designing and developing marketing material
  • Managing social media and/or email campaigns
  • Working with internal and external teams to execute marketing programs
  • Designing and following brand guidelines
  • Writing public facing content
  • Conducting market research
  • CPG or beverage alcohol trade marketing experience would be considered an asset
