The purpose of the Graphic Specialist Internship role is to apply / build upon their current knowledge of graphic design and prepress to learn how to interpret / convert customer supplied inputs into an approved art file that conforms to all flexographic printing specifications. This is to facilitate the production and use of photopolymer printing plates for large format flexographic printing.
How will you impact the role:
Assist the Graphics Team in creating and proofing art files for approval by internal / external customers
Actively train and build an understanding of prepress and plate production
Understand, communicate and apply appropriate graphic allowances
Learn the graphic requirements through the use of Customer / Press Specification Library
Collaborate with Team Members to develop solid work habits and prepress understanding
Prioritize and organize daily workload
Work Safely at all times
Perform other duties as assigned and assist anywhere needed
What you need to succeed:
v Currently enrolled in a Graphic Design / Printing / Prepress post secondary program.
v Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office and Mac Experience Required
v Can excel in a hands-on learning environment
v Solid written & oral communication skills (experience necessary)
v Problem solving and analytical skills
v Ability to resolve conflicts and develop teamwork
