We are looking for a savvy marketing and communications professional to help bring our strategies and campaigns to life. The Specialist, Marketing & Communications will approach projects with an eye for detail and apply digital marketing expertise. While the ideal candidate is a strong writer, the role does require proficiency with marketing and communications technologies.


The successful candidate would be available to start in early June.

Responsibilities :

  • Delivery of high-quality, creative internal and external communications and marketing initiatives
  • Copywriting, writing, editing and revision for internal, external and marketing communications (for on websites, SEO, email marketing campaigns and social media writing)
  • Communication plan development for various initiatives (small to medium)
  • external and internal audiences
  • Content planning and development of social media and blog content
  • Manage email content delivery online system and web content management systems
  • tracking performance of communications and content, proactively identifying effective communications solutions
  • Writes/edits website and blog content (corporate communications, PR, industry news)
  • Content updates to website(s) of Financial Horizons Group and its subsidiaries
  • Development of marketing collateral, corporate and internal communications pieces, including briefing and project management of digital and print design material
  • Writing, editing and coordination of ongoing content
  • Supports senior leadership and subsidiaries of FHG with key messaging and presentations
  • Identifies marketing and communication trends and explores solutions suited to the company and the financial services industry
  • Stays informed on industry news and developments to support marketing and communications efforts of the company
  • Coordinates swag and branded merchandise; print-on-demand services/orders and maintains vendor relationships
  • Provides National & Regional events support as required, including promotion and building content for reward and recognition programs
  • Assists with coordination of translation requests/fulfillment; review and revise translated documents (English or French)
  • Any other duties as assigned

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Experience with marketing automation software (i.e. Marketo) is a strong asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with creating digital marketing deliverables, particularly in terms of web content
  • Experience with Google Analytics and reporting
  • Experience with a wide range of marketing and communications strategies, including SEO, SEM, and social media


  • Degree or Education relevant to Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar
