The Global Connected Services (GCS) Bilingual Advertising & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in driving the success of OnStar and Connected Vehicle Subscription Services.

Focused on putting the customer at the centre of everything we do, this role is responsible for coordinating all bilingual advertising and communication activities for OnStar, Vehicle Connected Services (retail & fleet) and SiriusXM in Canada.

Job Description

Coordinate Connected Services messaging and resource requests from product brand teams, including:

CRM programs

MOV pages, Brochures

Dealer digital assets

POP programs (where applicable)

Support execution of Canadian Connected Services AdComm plans

Review US member/owner CRM content

Development of product launch plans

Support Dealer sales and operations communication strategy

Maintain brand guidelines and legal disclaimer approvals/updates

Create and maintain project status documents and legal/brand/product approval

Liaise with various agency personnel, Global Connected Services (GCS) team members in Canada and US as appropriate.

Execute internal updates and communications to Dealers, Regions, Field Teams, and other internal stakeholders

Manage POS materials distribution with agency partners, includes determining quantities based on Dealer type and keep track of material inventory at the (DGN) Online Store to ensure it remains current, is replaced, or reprinted as needed

Maintain GCS Canada Tool Kit (ie. Global Connect Marketing Hub)

Attending meetings as required to discuss and clarify on briefs, requirements, deadlines and budgets

Support Advertising/Communication team on projects as required including, but not limited to:

Developing Global Connect leadership messages

Executing new projects that come from Innovate Now sessions

CRM executions (including DDN)

Creative project support

Overseeing day-to-day translation projects, serving as primary contact between translation partners and GCS team

Manage the relationship with external translation vendors both at a day-to-day functional basis but also in terms of performance and delivery to contract

Ability to directly translate/author select communications (e.g. leadership messages, internal broadcast scripts, urgent requests, etc.) as agreed upon and prioritized with supervisor (only when urgent requests come up)

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Skills Set

Post Secondary Education Required

Fluently bilingual in French/English (read, oral, written)

Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills

2 to 4 years Marketing and/or Advertising experience with demonstrated knowledge of traditional and digital communication platforms

Experience in executing social media and digital campaigns

Demonstrated strong organization and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence various groups and levels.

Ability to manage working between client and agency partners as an integrator and as an influencer

Strong proofreading/copy editing background

Keen eye for attention to detail and consistency in language

Ability to work with multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Adobe Acrobat

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Some exposure to Adobe InDesign would be an asset
