Marketing Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • In conjunction with the Director of Marketing, create and coordinate the advertising, marketing and promotional initiatives of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, adhering to corporate and property standards
  • Graphic design and copy writing for all collateral, brochures, promotional postcards, flat sheets, invitations, displays, slideshows (in-house and third-party)
  • Produce traditional/digital advertising including print (newspaper and magazine) and banner ads
  • Be active on the hotel social media channels, posting 1-2 days per week on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
  • Create monthly newsletter eblasts and work with Corporate to create ecards as needed
  • Participate in the marketing and collateral design of annual Christmas in November event and all other special event packages. Attendance will sometimes be required.
  • Assist with photo and videoshoots for property, room renovations, F&B, destination content and special events
  • Work with the regional and property content team on social media driven marketing initiatives and content creation
  • Assist in maintaining the hotel's websites and updating content as needed
  • Update and maintain on-property screens and in-room Sonifi program
  • Attend all Sales and Marketing meetings and other meetings as required
  • Establish necessary communication and procedures to ensure other departments are constantly informed and updated
  • Additional projects as required


  • 3-5 years experience within marketing required
  • Bachelors Degree and/or Hotel Management Degree with focus on marketing hospitality an asset
  • Must be very strong in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Social Media and online savvy
  • well versed in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Imaginative, creative, out of the box thinker
  • Knowledge of Ektron CMS, WordPress or Wix an asset
  • Photography experience an asset
  • Must be results oriented with ability to be flexible
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential
  • Must be organized and able to work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines
  • A team player with proven leadership ability and positive attitude
  • Must be self-motivated and able to make decisions while handling numerous projects at one time
