As the Junior Graphic / Technical Designer for custom orders, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and approval of Special Make-Up (SMU) projects for tentree wholesale and corporate customers. From project hand-off to final approval, you will work closely with tentree's internal teams (Sales, Design, Marketing and Production), as well as tentree's manufacturing partners to create decks, coordinate strike-offs, review samples and approve for bulk. This role will be responsible for creating CADs, presentation decks, manipulating graphics, setting up items in tentree's PLM system, reviewing and commenting on strike-offs and samples. As workload and seasonality allows, this role may also provide support to the Design and Graphic teams.

What will you be doing?

You will oversee tentree's SMU development process from start to finish.

You will create seasonal libraries and catalogue with eligible key styles, materials, colours and graphics.

You will review SMU request from the Sales department and create corresponding decks.

You will create the artpack and tech pack, and request strike-off with external manufacturing partner.

You will review, comment and document changes to strike-offs in PLM and in development tracker.

You will coordinate review and sign-off of customized artwork with tentree's Creative and Marketing leads.

You will request SMU pre-production samples and TOP before seeking sign-off from Sales department prior to bulk.

You will organize workload and execute on SMU development according to GTM (Go-to-Market) milestones.

You will support Sales department in creating decks or gathering product details to secure seasonal Corporate Sales contracts.

You will oversee the tech-pack set-up and sample requests for corporate sales projects liaising between all stakeholders.

You will ensure tentree's brand standards (design, quality, function, sustainability) are clearly communicated and upheld.

You will support Graphic, Design and Development teams as needed for delivering on key seasonal milestones.


Technical Compentencies

Proficient in InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other similar graphic design tools

Proven abilities to tweak and manipulate artwork (flats and apparel CAD's are a bonus!)

Proficient with MS office tools, Google suite tools and standard IM and conference tools

Clear and concise written communication

Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail

Comfortable with changes and with working in a fast-paced environment

Thorough, diligent and enjoys thinking outside of the box

Passionate about sustainability or eager to learn more about it

Prior Work Experience

2 to 4 years working in a technical development, design assistant or graphic design role preferably within an apparel or accessory brand.

Experience in working cross-functionally and externally within diverse cultural environments.

Experience with or strong knowledge of developing and applying artwork onto textile including production techniques and processes.
