This position will be based in either Edmonton or Calgary, AB; location will be determined upon the successful candidate. This temporary position will provide coverage for a Maternity Leave.

Job Purpose

The Specialist, Charter Sales works with our Business Development Team to understand the operational requirements and service levels specific to each client account. Working closely with the Operational Control Centre, it is their responsibility to ensure our charters are executed effectively, assisting with any issues that may arise and communicating with our clients accordingly.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate passenger manifests and ensure Resource Planner charter notes are accurate and up to date with all charter specifics
  • Arrange for catering and ensure special dietary requests are accommodated
  • Liaise with Operations Control Centre to coordinate client requirements and aircraft availability; assist with irregular operations as required
  • Provide dedicated assistance to clients during irregular operations to mitigate any negative impact, source sub charters as required
  • Follow up with clients to ensure all charters have been operated to the clients satisfaction; communicate feedback to Business Development Team and other Departments as required
  • Maintain charter files for current and potential clients, capture and maintain charter brief data for future charters
  • Work with Flight and/or Cabin Crews to assist in the delivery of service details
  • Support Business Development Team by providing charter quotes to current and potential clients; prepare marketing packages, reports and another other documents they require to secure potential business opportunities
  • Assist customer service team with check in duties as required
  • Liaise with Flight Operations, OCC and Airports teams to coordinate all logistics and service standards for special charters, work with the Business Development Team to ensure charter arrangements are aligned with client expectations
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events
  • Assist with client appreciation initiatives and corporate functions
  • Actively support the company Safety Management System by participating in the program and ensuring all responsibilities are maintained as outlined in the SMS manual
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday
  • Friday; Weekends as required based on operational requirements
  • Required to carry a company phone and attend to client and/or operational issues as required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education
  • Ability to hold a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel, if required
  • Flexible schedule to meet operational needs
