As a Sr. Developer, you will be responsible for implementing solutions in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with a specific focus on the digital advertising and web personalization tools

  • specifically Interaction Studio, Audience Studio, Datorama and the evolving C360 Audiences CDP.

Skills

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

  • 5+ years web development experience with proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, with:
  • Solid understanding of web development concepts such as page load approaches and optimization, DOM, promises, async calls, events from the page, listening to web sockets etc.
  • Experience in mobile app development, especially implementing SDKs and guiding app development teams on configuring interfaces to SDKs
  • Experience using REST/SOAP web services
  • TypeScript experience a definite asset
  • 2+ years of experience working with real-time personalization and interaction management tools, ideally Everage / Interaction Studio including:
  • Experience configuring web and mobile listening via tagging and SDK configuration
  • Experience in web/mobile personalization leveraging web design and API calls
  • 2+ years of experience working with Data Management Platforms (DMP), preferably in Salesforce Audience Studio (Krux) with:
  • Experience and understanding of the processes associated with the effective implementation of a DMP, including site tagging approaches, data integration and onboarding.
  • Experience with marketing automation concepts and technologies in email, mobile, and web
  • Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • data with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL including experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies
  • Strong ability to interact with customers and demonstrate both business and technical skills
  • Post-Secondary in the following areas is preferred: Business Administration, Marketing Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent training/experience
  • Experience with the development lifecycle (Business Process design, documentation, QA, testing strategy and execution, troubleshooting analysis)
  • Strong ability to deliver presentations and training to clients
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects

Definite Assets

  • Experience with marketing automation concepts and technologies in email, mobile, and web
  • Experience developing native iOS/Android applications and using SDKs
  • AMPScript experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning development
  • Experience with CRM and ESP platforms
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues in laymen's terms to customers
  • Experience working with UI/UX design teams
  • Experience supporting CRM systems, specifically Salesforce, an asset.
  • Certifications in Salesforce Marketing Cloud ideal.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Working closely with clients and project managers to determine project requirements
  • Working with clients and developers to design/implement solutions in Interaction Studio, Audience Studio and related Marketing Cloud tools.
  • Building/implementing solutions, including:
  • Working with tag management solutions and implementing tagging designs to enable marketing automation functionality
  • Personalizing web pages, creating applications and working with web services
  • Supporting clients implementing web & mobile personalization tools
  • Scripting and design of emails and landing pages
  • Designing and implementing API integration services
  • Working with clients and internal project teams through build sprints, testing and deployments
  • Enabling clients on Interaction Studio and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Helping clients problem solve and deal with issues that arise
