The Bid Management team is comprised of dedicated, results-oriented, proposal management professionals that share a common vision: be the ?go-to? team trusted to lead all Rogers For Business (R4B) RFPs.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Bid Management, the successful candidate will collaborate with Sales & subject matter experts (SMEs) to create compliant and compelling proposals that best illustrates how Rogers delivers innovative solutions that drive business outcomes for our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the end-to-end RFP response process according to internal business guidelines and deal governance
  • Participate and provide recommendations at the RFP opportunity review, qualification, and bid/no bid decision-making stage
  • Engage and coordinate the efforts of all subject matter experts to satisfy RFP requirements
  • Chair kick-off & status update meetings to ensure all expectations, actions, approvals, and timelines are met
  • Create initial draft of response, consolidate inputs/updates, and manage document versions to completion and final approval
  • Support Sales & SMEs with buyer-centric writing to best position the value, advantages, and benefits of Rogers
  • Lead strategic pit stops with senior leadership team to ensure business issues, risks, and other non-standard requirements are identified and addressed
  • Perform thorough final review & edit and mock-scoring per client's evaluation criteria to ensure the response is compliant, compelling, and secures maximum points
  • Secure team feedback and participate in proposal debriefings & post-mortems to help drive continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain knowledgebase content, templates, tools, and processes
  • Lead team meetings, functional interlock meetings, team building events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives

What you will bring:

  • University degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience creating targeted proposal documents for business and government
  • Technical background in Telecom and/or Information & Communications Technology (ICT) products and solutions (e.g. Wireless, Wireline, Data Centre, Cloud applications, Unified Communications, and Internet of Things (IoT))
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Exceptional researcher and a persuasive business & technical writer able to express ideas and concepts in a clear and compelling manner, using both text and graphics
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Ability to establish and grow relationships across all functions and all levels
  • Creative problem solver, pragmatic decision maker, and independent / diplomatic individual contributor who gets things done; Team player with a can do / will do attitude
  • Process-minded professional who pro-actively identifies opportunities for improvement and implements them; leads by example, shares best practices and provides recommendations for doing things better, faster, and smarter
  • Advanced computer skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other desktop publishing tools
  • Hands-on experience with public & private e-tender platforms (e.g. Merx, Biddingo, SEAO, Ariba, Coupa, Emptoris, etc), CRM (SFDC) and RFP-related productivity software (e.g. Loopio, Parabol, etc)
  • Assets include:
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Proposal team management experience
  • APMP accreditation
