Advance Wire Products Ltd. (AWP) is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of innovative merchandising solutions for the retail grocery, convenience, and pharmacy market. We are growing and have an immediate requirement for an Administrative Assistant to join our Surrey team.

This position is responsible for administrative support, data entry and record keeping and will require the ideal candidate to have excellent attention to detail, strong computer and analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the team with a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Edits and formats documents to ensure layout and graphical presentation meet the company's standards; prepares reports and presentations as needed, attending to the details of all forms of communication, both internal and external.
  • High volume of data entry.
  • Work within timelines and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of administrative systems and processes.
  • Other general office tasks as required (eg: ordering office supplies, filing, photocopying, etc.).

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an Administrative Assistant role.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration would be an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (intermediate Word and Excel).
  • Typing speed of at least 50 wpm.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Strong client relations and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • Reliable, punctual and demonstrates initiative.
  • Self-starter who is a highly motivated team player.
