Established in February 2006, the South Calgary Primary Care Network (SCPCN) includes the areas south of Anderson Road to the southern, western, and eastern city limits. Our vision is to lead optimal personal and community wellness. And our commitment to south Calgary residents continues to be the building of a sustainable, patient-centred Medical Home. Located in the fastest growing area in Calgary, the SCPCN now has over 261 member doctors at 63 clinics.
Reporting to the Director of Primary Care Services, the Program Manager will develop and implement comprehensive mental health and community wellness services and supports for patients and families that align with the organization's strategic goals and business plan to meet the needs of targeted populations. The Program Manager will collaborate with clinical, operational, business support, leadership teams and external stakeholders in the development and implementation of mental health services and supports with specific focus on enhancing access to essential services through comprehensive and coordinated care, adopting principles in evidence-based practices, quality improvement and evaluation.
WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE IN THIS ROLE
Collaborate with SCPCN leadership and clinical teams in developing unique approaches to support patients and families with a variety of mental health concerns, maximizing patient care outcomes
Provide supervision, mentorship and coaching to promote achievement of best practice principles and business plan objectives
Responsible for inter-professional clinical staff recruitment, orientation, training, staff development, performance review and management
Recommend modifications and support implementation of changes to service delivery using a change management approach
Assist in the development, revision, interpretation, administration and implementation of policies, procedures, protocols, and standards
Represent SCPCN with various partners, government agencies, and the healthcare community, recognizing and optimizing opportunities for collaboration and partnerships
Promote a supportive, psychologically safe work environment for all staff
Manage a budget for clinical programs and services
WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE
Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or health related field
Registration with professional association
Minimum five-seven years' clinical experience
Minimum five years' managerial experience with program development, project management, and quality improvement considered an asset
Experience working in primary health care considered an asset
EMR experience considered an asset
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a changing and dynamic environment that requires flexibility and balancing of competing priorities
Strong critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills with strengths in prioritization, multi-tasking, and organization
Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and Outlook
Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle is a requirement, as travel to various locations within the city of Calgary is necessary
