Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing and Direct to Consumer (D2C) within Reputation and Brand, this role will be a key member of the digital centre of expertise (DCoE) supporting all segments of the business. As a member of the DCoE, you will work closely with digital marketing strategists, the digital copywriter, the graphic designer, the marketing automation specialist and other marketing strategists/experts to develop strong performing and measurable email marketing tactics. Your objective is to support all client facing email marketing programs through strategic planning and execution, always testing and optimizing for conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of email marketing strategies that speak directly to the pain points of clients and prospects including copy, creative and email design, setup and execution, as well as measurement and reporting.
  • Manage email deployment calendar and execution of emails on a day-to-day basis.
  • Regular analysis of current email communications, providing optimization opportunities and recommendations for improvement.
  • Facilitate and implement lead-scoring strategies that support business goals.
  • Maintain a database of contacts who have opted to receive our correspondence to ensure quality of contacts and regulatory compliance.
  • Optimize email templates for performance and conversion.
  • Measure results through an email marketing dashboard and optimize campaigns through A/B testing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to client data, list segmentation, workflow configuration and other aspects of marketing automation.
  • Stays up to date on industry best practices for email marketing and other digital marketing channels, and recommends areas for improvement.
  • Support areas across ATB in the development and execution of ad hoc emails.
  • Marketing automation tool capability owner including successful implementation, integration and adoption of the platform, and achievement of Martech investment ROI.
  • Identify and facilitate Hubspot and Clickmeeting tool enablement opportunities for team members within Reputation and Brand, and beyond.

Requirements

  • Experience using marketing automation technologies. Husbpot experience is an asset.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams that include writers, designers, data analysts, marketing experts/strategists, and subject matter experts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker but grounded in lots of common sense.
  • Ability to build consensus and influence campaign direction based upon industry best practices and past email marketing performance.
  • General knowledge of all digital marketing channels and how they integrate and complement email marketing.
  • Outstanding organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented and very attentive to detail.
  • Tools include Hubspot, Episerver, Clickmeeting, Miro, Buzzsumo, SiteImprove, Google Analytics, GSuite, Ion Interactive and more.

Accreditation and Experience

  • Relevant post-secondary education and 5+ years delivering results in digital marketing and email marketing.
  • Hubspot accreditation is an asset, or other digital marketing certifications.
  • Financial services experience is an asset.
  • Experience with agile-development environments.

This position is a remote based, work from home role with primary office location to be in Calgary or Edmonton when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
