The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning and Strategy will focus on delivering profitable growth for Fido through the planning cycle by overseeing strategic marketing programs. This person will be responsible for the identification of consumer trends, priority setting and marketing planning in conjunction with the fido cross functional team to ensure a smooth and seamless delivery of the quarter. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Fido HUB, this person will be an instrumental part of the team that is accountable for delivering on the Fido P & L (volume and value).

What you will do:

Quarterback and lead cross functional planning across entire Fido brand

Identify priorities and targets for each quarter that align to longer term goals

Stay informed/educated on competitive landscape, market conditions and consumer insights to inform recommendations for quarterly plans built by the agile squads

Provide status/updates as to how we are trending to overall goals and identify impacts and opportunities to longer term goals

Prioritize key deliverables for the Fido brand and ensure plans and tactics are aligned to the direction of travel

With the broader cross-functional team, design and maintain the quarterly execution calendar

Identify collisions and opportunities for cross-functional collaboration for all agile squads and supporting teams

Own, understand, monitor and track results against business objectives for owned programs, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations on outcomes

Develop action plans to drive results if shortfalls exist, such as gap plans as well as war room brand lead during peak selling seasons

Ensure Brand Planning & Consumer Messaging aligns to Fido brand guidelines

Gain agile stakeholder buy in and engagement in delivery of key priorities

Present and clearly articulate quarterly plan and desired outcomes to Senior Leadership Teams across the organization

Manage and represent the Fido business on new strategic initiatives and program launches

What you will bring:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

7 plus years marketing experience, preferably in the telecom industry

Experience working autonomously and demonstrating cross-functional leadership

University degree-preferably focused in marketing, communications or advertising

Experience developing and leading marketing campaigns that engage, inform, and convert

Superior communication skills - written and oral (in both official languages preferred)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Ability to influence others and comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization
