The Specialist is accountable to provide subject matter expertise and administration of a specialized function. As a member of SaskEnergy's management team, this position is responsible to act as a central point of contact in the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.
The focus area covered by this position is: managing a portfolio of applications with focus on the Work Management Systems which currently include ClickSoftware, Corporate Map Viewer, Image Connect, and other internally and externally hosted applications ensuring they remain current and evolve to meet the ongoing requirements of the corporation.
Manage and provide leadership in the design, requirement analysis, development/configuration, quality assurance, deployment, support activities, and ongoing program management for ClickSoftware and related modules as well as other related application environments.
Monitor the performance of and identify improvement opportunities for existing integrations and coordinate required changes while ensuring that impacts to and from source systems are well understood.
Contribute to the development of the annual budget for the Work Management System portfolio of applications.
Manage vendor relationships and contribute to negotiations of contractual arrangements, establish on-going relationship ensuring adherence to the contract.
Where applicable, ensure the business application meets the CEO/CFO requirements and work with internal and external auditors to verify compliance.
Provide guidance, training, coaching, feedback and recognition, maintaining a positive and productive culture that includes safety, accountability, respect, motivation and effective communication.
Provide technical expertise to Enterprise Security, HR and Legal during investigations of a sensitive nature.
Identify new business solutions and operational efficiencies, while providing recommendations which have a significant impact on SaskEnergy's business operations and strategies
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Computer Science
Five (5) years in a business environment with at least four years progressive experience in information technology management managing complex systems.
Experience in project management would be considered an asset.
Familiarity with ClickSoftware or other Field Service Management systems, Maintenance Management, ERP, and/or a variety of business applications would be considered an asset.
Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation and teamwork.
Must have a continuing record of professional development and continuous learning.
A suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
