Team mission

The Creative Studio Department's mission is to support Desjardins Group's marketing plan initiatives to create and produce advertising intended for members/clients, individuals and businesses, as well as to showcase the Desjardins brand through all channels. We are known for our team spirit, collaboration and agility.

Reporting to the Creative Studio manager, you are responsible for designing, creating and delivering concepts, ad creatives and content for the Creative Studio.

You are required to handle a number of different projects simultaneously and work under pressure. You make recommendations on the development and delivery of projects. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is essential.

You serve as a specialized advisor and subject matter expert in your field, and act as a contact and coach for decision-making bodies.

General Information on the PositionWhat it involves on a daily basis

Under the supervision of the design manager:

  • Develop and design concepts, ad creatives and content, with the advertising copywriter.

  • Serve as a creative advisor with internal partners and the production team.

  • Handle projects from design to delivery.

  • Based on the creative brief, establish the work sequence and organize and help facilitate brainstorming.

  • Develop, draft and prepare presentation material.

  • Support, present and defend developed creative approaches.

  • Liaise with the Media team in campaign planning, from brief to delivery.

  • Follow up with internal and external partners and the production team throughout execution.

  • Monitor the quality of deliverables in compliance with timelines.

  • Ensure brand adherence in all of our member/client interactions.

  • Provide artistic direction for photo shoots, filming, animation and/or video editing.

  • Support the design manager in various mandates.

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or an appropriate discipline

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Proficiency in formats used on social media platforms and ability at leveraging them

  • Ability to link visual concepts with overall concepts

  • Ability to design and script videos (a major asset)

  • Extensive knowledge of all visual design tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge of designing in a multi-platform environment with a conversion funnel

  • Knowledge of editing and animation software (an asset)

  • Independent speaker, intermediate knowledge of English (an asset)
