Summary

The primary function as the Event Sales Coordinator is being responsible for managing the flow of work for the Events team, including the coordination of internal documentation and client contracts. The coordinator will assist with the creation of documentation, handle departmental telephone calls, generate reports, handle special projects, and qualify/distribute leads & inquiries. This position will be one of the hotel's key administrators of Envision/EMS and administratively supports all Event Managers. The coordinator is the liaison between the Event Manager and the on-site meeting contact. Must be able to communicate effectively and respond quickly. A friendly attitude; willingness to assist and ability to solve problems is a must.

Qualifications

To be successful, the Event Sales Coordinator should have:

  • A post secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality or Event Management
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep others organized
  • Strong customer relations experience and ability to turn negative situations into a positive one

Must be comfortable talking on the telephone with colleagues and guests and making the service delivery a memorable experience
