As a Jr. Data Analyst, you will support HRRC Managers and Site Leaders with day-to-day analytics of various metrics and trends. The HRRC Junior Data Analyst (Jr. DA) converts people, process, and technology data into meaningful, actionable insights for the HRRC Managers and

Site Leaders of each sub regional center. The HRRC Jr. DA is skilled in process improvement, project management, and data analysis, and they leverage a variety of PXT data platforms, processes, policies, and tools to develop solutions supporting PXT performance.

The Jr. Data Analyst has deep knowledge in data mining, trend analysis, and can communicate findings with recommendations for improvement to various levels of the organization. Work is flexible and you must be able to adapt to changes quickly.

Key job responsibilities

HRRC Process & Efficiencies

  • Recommend enhancements for reduced attrition, increased attendance, and improved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in HRRC sub regional center (HRRC East, HRRC West, HRRC Cases, HRRC Canada)
  • Drive efficiencies to reduce waste, streamline processes, and integrate data points to improve PXT team output and conduct associate engagement programs in HRRC sub regional center
  • Drive change management and lead the implementation (tracking, execution, etc.) for network programs impacting HRRC in the respective RC
  • Support Site Leaders in auditing standard work consistency across sub regional centers in HRRC, share best practices, and co-develop enhancements to address
  • Partner with Launch Manager in the implementation of best practices and standard work for new site launches in their respective RC.
  • Partner with PXT PPA team, PXT Business Intelligence, PeopleInsight (PI), and other corporate teams in collecting feedback for research projects and assisting in the development and implementation of new programs and related user acceptance testing.

People Data Mining & Analytics

  • Use people data to identify trailing indicators, research root causes, validate assumptions, and create related action plans for RC and Lines of Business (LOB) supported.
  • Use people data to identify leading indicators to predict business performance, understand each LOBs culture, and diagnose issues in RC
  • Analyze trends in attendance, attrition, overtime, or Engage@Amazon, and provide insights/suggestions for AA program improvements for the respective RC
  • Partner with HRRC Site Leaders to analyze organizational health data across sites in the region, and provide insights/suggestions to drive improvements in organizational health categories (including 1:1s, escalations, appeals, development lists, succession planning, etc.)
  • Partner with HRRC Site Leaders to develop/describe action items related to regular PXT metric meetings

Workforce Planning

  • Coach Site Leaders in HRRC on people data sources and techniques to evaluate attrition and attendance assumptions for labor planning in partnership with the Sr Capacity Planning PM.
  • Consult with Site Leaders in HRRC on the use of a variety of labor planning tactics and strategies (impacts of calling Mandatory Extra Time, running excessive Voluntary Time Off, hiring Temporary Associates (TA), etc.)
  • Assess accuracy of HRRC attrition and attendance assumptions, and engage, where needed, to reduce variance in forecasted and actual percentages
  • Support HRRC Site Leaders in driving network guidelines for people-related targets (e.g. headcount, AA/TA ratios, etc.)
