Events & Outreach Coordinator, Career Bridge (Administrative Assistant I)

Position Details

Combining academic programs, career services, and a My Experience Transcript Advisor, Career Bridge is a multifaceted team of experts and service providers working together to support work-integrated learning (WIL), experiential learning and Career Development across campus. Reporting to the Academic Director, Career Bridge Centre for Work-Integrated Learning and Career Development, the successful candidate will provide a variety of services and support including:

Promotion and facilitation of Career Bridge programs and services to three stakeholder groups: students, internal and external employer partners, and the wider university community.

Primary responsibilities include coordination and promotion of student engagement initiatives and events such as Career Fair, Job Fair, and Career Bridge events and workshops. This role is also responsible for supporting the Career Bridge administration team by coordinating logistics for program delivery via electronic calendars, job boards, proprietary databases, multiple e-mail accounts and social media. This role is pivotal to the seamless and successful delivery of the Co-operative Education and Applied Studies programs, Career Services, and the MyExperience Transcript platform.

STARTING SALARY RANGE : $3,909.00 - 4,348.50 per month

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree. This position requires outstanding professional communication and administrative skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, databases, and social media platforms). The candidate shall demonstrate discretion with confidential information and must be comfortable working with complex processes. Planning and organizational skills are of utmost importance. The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with interruptions and overlapping deadlines, and exercise independent judgement while maintaining effective working relationships both within the University community and among other stakeholder groups. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.
