From drought, to flash flooding, and forever chemicals, the world's water systems (run by municipal / regional agencies) are facing a tidal wave of new challenges. And the tools that they have to address the problems-from spreadsheets to 1999 software-aren't keeping up. That's where Klir comes in.

Klir is looking for an Event Marketing Manager to play a key role in supporting our growth for the remainder of 2022 and beyond. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. This individual will manage the overall event strategy, program workflow, budget, stakeholder communication and execution while ensuring Klir is building brand awareness and generating marketing qualified leads.

Reporting into the Director of Brand Marketing, you'll work closely with our marketing and sales teams, to identify opportunities to scale growth.

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate based in Toronto/GTA.


  • Drive Klir's growth agenda by optimizing event selection and performance taking into account target audiences, budgets, ROI, and ideal customer persona messaging.
  • Own management of all event marketing spend, including sponsorships, paid search, ppc and social.
  • Proactively look for and review opportunities with associations and events.
  • Identify new high-potential events and associations to test and incorporate into the broader acquisition plan.
  • Ensure company, brand or persona messages are incorporated, as appropriate, while following any required regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop quarterly forecasts, track results and communicate wins and challenges to the marketing team and broader senior management team.
  • Keep on top of new industry developments and best practices and share with the greater Marketing team
  • Due to the nature of the role, ability to travel to events on occasion is required

What makes you an ideal candidate:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in event performance marketing.
  • 1+ years experience with B2B SaaS ABM (account based marketing).
  • 1+ years experience leading a small team or experience with project leadership
  • Experience managing and scaling a $50K+ monthly budget
  • Data driven approach to demonstrating ROI of events
  • Experience with additional digital marketing areas such as email marketing, marketing automation, lead capture, attribution, social media and so on
  • Proven success collaborating across multiple teams
  • Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to identify and prioritize highest impact initiatives


  • Water industry experience and/or relationships
