Role: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for developing new clients and retaining existing clientele in order to sell catering/banquet services of the hotel, restaurants and outside catering venues, including The View on Lonsdale.


Proactively solicit new business and manage relationships with existing and lost business accounts; to meet/exceed revenue goals, and expand the company's client base.

Assuming responsibility for finalizing all events and creating an excellent guest and client relationship through attention to detail; follow through and responding in a timely manner.

Producing effective and appropriate documentation including: proposals, contracts, Banquet Event Orders, invoices, letters and e-mails to communicate the expectations of the client.

Entertaining and conducting site inspections of the facilities with clients and prospective clients.

Maintaining familiarity with competing restaurant facilities and competing catering facilities and services.

Making informed decisions regarding pricing, menu and selling strategies keeping profit margins in mind.

Conducting weekly catering meeting to communicate, in detail, upcoming functions to ensure proper execution (as established with the client), by operational managers and staff.

Hosting groups while on site; introducing the banquet event team to the client at the beginning of each event and communicating to both clients and departments

Liaising with suppliers and venue partners when required. Pursue ?preferred caterer? status with the city's most interesting and sought-after venues.

Any other reasonable duties.


Minimum 2 years of Management experience in Hospitality

Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Maestro PMS; Micros POS

University/College degree in a related discipline preferred

Ability to adapt and thrive under pressure
