We are looking to add a Talent Acquisition Specialist to our growing team!

Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for using cutting-edge research techniques to seek out top-level talent to enrich our organization. This will be achieved through creative and innovative sourcing strategies and use of the latest networking resources. While experienced and well-versed in traditional recruiting techniques, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a flexible thinker and a dynamic constant learner who is able to incorporate ground-breaking techniques in actively seeking out the best people in the applicable fields and making them a part of our team. They will act as an ambassador for our organization and will be able to recognize exceptional individuals with strong leadership qualities. The Talent Acquisition Specialist can be pro-active, and who will keep a finger on the pulse of the professional world while maintaining an extensive, up-to-date database of high-quality candidates who can be called upon as needs arise. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that will ensure the organization is hiring the best possible talent for both current and future roles within the organization.

Job Duties

  • Confer with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional, statistical, and testing standards, recommending revision as needed.
  • Recruit applicants for open positions, making public presentations regarding the organization and job opportunities; coordinate staff participation, set up, and work at job fairs.
  • Advise management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Coordinate the activities to maintain efficiency and obtain organizational goals.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings.
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Utilize the Internet for recruitment, post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
  • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
  • Other duties shall be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience.
  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or other appropriate field an asset.
  • CHRP designation an asset.
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment.
  • Able to work in a result focused environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
  • Good training, coaching, and active listening skills are essential
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet departmental targets.
  • Innovative and dynamic thinker with proven leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
