PixMob has been amplifying emotions at live shows since 2010. Picture an arena with 10,000 people wearing a wristband that lights up in sync to the beat of their favorite singer. Now imagine hundreds of events like that a year. We are looking for a Business Development Representative with the curiosity to develop new business and the consistency towards growth.

Specifically, we are looking for someone to identify and generate sales leads through primarily outreach activities for our team of Account Managers. The right candidate will be one who has proven lead generation experience, is at ease to initiate relaxed but informative two-way conversations with prospects and enjoys the challenge of business development. The right candidate will also understand how to assess a client’s needs and cater to each prospect specifically.

This role will collaborate closely with our Account Managers; it will also be supervised by the Sales Lead and interact with the Chief Commercial Officer. 

Success will be determined by the ability to find new clients, and generate qualified leads for our Account Managers. We find that the right fit is generally a mix of humility, emotional intelligence, and persistence. We work with clients from a broad spectrum of industries such as live entertainment, corporate, permanent shows, and sports. As such, curiosity will go a long way to help in a person’s success.

YOUR ROLE ON OUR TEAM

Lead Generation

  • Generate qualified leads for Account Managers:
    • Conduct recurring research on the entertainment industry and its competitive landscape by creating lists of events in all verticals and finding key contacts’ information (eg. email, phone, etc) to provide insight on upcoming trends and events
    • Book meetings with clients and Account Managers
    • Prepare personalized sequences and communications
    • Follow up with contacts to be nurtured (cold leads, contacted, Away Messages)
    • Convert leads into qualified opportunities via Salesforce
    • Log all activity in Hubspot + Salesforce, work with team and management to improve lead generation process
    • Track progress

Personal Development

  • We expect you to join our team and make a contribution with your learnings on topics related to our commercial activities

  • You will be expected to develop yourself by getting out of your comfort zone, while being supported by an experienced and collegial team

YOU ARE THE PERSON FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU FIT THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA

  • 3 years of experience in lead generation or outbound sales, preferably in the entertainment/live events space 
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills: personable, professional and persuasive, able to build rapport quickly over the phone/email
  • Proven ability to prioritize, set goals and to measure progress accordingly
  • Flexibility in operating within developing structures and comfort with frequently changing priorities (startup-like work environment)
