The Director of Sales provides leadership and direction for new Truck Sales personnel. The Director of Sales - Vocational (Peter built) is accountable for sales performance, market share growth and aligning sales objectives as they pertain specifically with Brandt's business strategy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieving sales growth and profitability throughout the assigned Territory
  • Achieving asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets. Included but not limited to new and used Wholegoods inventory;
  • Providing assistance in and guidance for forecasting the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals in the assigned Territory;
  • Provide accurate forecasting on upcoming large fleet opportunities, their budgeting/purchasing processes and most important decision factors
  • Provide continuous input on the development of standard Truck specifications and encourage the selling of the FAB's of the standards;
  • Assist in the management and development of all sales employees with the goal of building a motivated and successful workforce focused on long term success for the company and customers;
  • Achieving Market Share goals as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company;
  • Provide feedback and input into all future opportunities and competitive pressures in both Sales and Product support;
  • Assists in compiling and utilize Transaction Pricing information to maximize market based pricing to increase margins in all Transportation groups
  • Facilitate and promote corporate sales strategy and initiatives through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting;
  • Achieving the financial sales performance targets as set out in the Company Budget;
  • Provide input on advertising, promotion and marketing in connection with Brandt Sales & Marketing;
  • Directly assist in improving sales opportunities with large, very large, and/or challenging Vocational customers;
  • Establish and maintain good public relations with communities, civic,
  • political and industry personnel;
  • Achieve customer satisfaction throughout the Sales process;
  • Attendance at Industry events, active participation and promotion of all Divisions of Brandt during the event;
  • Performance of such other duties as are normally and customarily carried
  • out by senior management in connection with Brandt;
  • Ongoing presence at all physical operating locations within the prescribed AOR of Brandt is critical. Minimum of 100 days must be spent traveling and connecting with prospective customers throughout the operating locations;
  • Continuous ongoing communication and contact with the VP of Sales on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
