POSITION: Senior Marketing Manager, Carbonaut REPORTS TO: President

Location: Abbotsford, BC (Flexible, hybrid structure)

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager, Carbonaut to join our Marketing team. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with the team to lead, develop, and implement marketing programs aimed at building and strengthening the Carbonaut brand.


In this role, you will have the chance to champion and manage a variety of marketing activities across the organization. The primary challenge of the role will be to work on executing the marketing aspects of bringing new products to the market quickly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing effective and innovative consumer programs in a constantly evolving entrepreneurial environment, with a particular focus in the digital and social media spaces.   • You have 5+ years of experience in a marketing manager, brand manager (or similar) role in Consumer Goods Products and/or Food Manufacturing environments
  • You have a Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline field
  • You have people leadership experience, including coaching and development
  • You have experience of creating digital campaigns related to new product launches
  • Knowledge of WordPress and HTML
  • Lead marketing strategy for Carbonaut to drive the business to higher levels
  • Drive and implement communication/marketing programs to build and improve the brand
  • Produce engaging, compelling, and consistent brand communication material and drive social media efforts
  • Monitor trends and review available data to improve positioning or communication
  • Lead marketing programs related to new product development
  • Lead the development of trade show strategies and manage the marketing budget for Carbonaut
  • Research and implement innovative strategies in the digital and social media spaces to increase Carbonaut brand awareness through initiatives like retail media, shopper marketing and social commerce
  • Supervise and collaborate with external agency partners to elevate the brand in their specific core competency while maintaining an effective brand identity

  • Work with the President to develop communication execution programs to build the brand
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to implement marketing programs to drive trial, shelf velocity, and improve brand equity
  • Monitors trends and available data sources to strengthen Carbonaut's market positioning
  • Produces engaging, compelling and consistent brand communications support materials for internal and external audiences
  • Responsible for executing packaging design and changes, social media plans, website content and design, e-newsletter, branded materials, and influencer marketing in collaboration with internal staff and external agencies as necessary
  • Leads the development of trade and consumer show strategies and execution for Canadian and US shows in partnership with Trade/Event Marketing Coordinator
  • Responsible for the execution of marketing program aspects of new product development processes
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to generate engaging and effective content for use and distribution across multiple digital/social platforms
  • Initiate research on the latest trends in retail media, shopper marketing and digital advertising and communication, and suggest an approach to integrate these strategies to further enhance Carbonaut brand awareness and eCommerce revenue
  • Manages and tracks the budget for Carbonaut to ensure financial discipline within the Marketing team
  • Trains and develops Marketing Coordinator to improve the execution of programs and analysis of trends/performance
  • Recruits, hires, and trains new team members consistent with the goals and values of the organization
  • Maintain brand website, including photography, written and video content and web design requirements
  • Support consumer response coordinator training and new information requirements for the brands
