The Opportunity

CBRE Canada is seeking a Sr. Graphic designer (temporary 1 year contract) to help enhance our brand and tell our stories.

The successful candidate will work alongside, and is a valued member of, CBRE's National Investment Team. The candidate must have excellent design knowledge and strong communication skills that would support our busy team and the wide variety of assets we create across digital and print platforms and across all areas of the business. A passion for branding and an appreciation of storytelling through design is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Produces sophisticated graphic design solutions to support marketing efforts for print and web.

Applies professional graphic design principles to the creation of documents, websites, and other graphic products.

Ability to understand and incorporate the CBRE brand into internal and external marketing materials.

Stays up to date on current design trends and incorporates them into deliverables.

Confers with internal clients to discuss and determine design solutions.

Provides oversight and ensures alignment with other design work being performed within an office or hub.

Manages larger and more complex design projects, guiding the work of team members to produce a finished product.

Works closely with print vendors to estimate projects and oversee production.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory duties:

Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, training, and mentorship to coworkers. May lead project teams and plan/supervise assignments of lower-level employees.

What we require:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent in graphic design
  • Minimum five years of related work experience
  • Portfolio with applicable references
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office (PPT, Word, Excel)
  • Expert knowledge of graphic design principles, digital design principles, and web standards
  • Experience with video editing and basic knowledge of HTML coding
  • Knowledge of both PC and Mac operating systems
  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to do project budgets and cost estimates
  • Basic project management skills
