Jim Pattison Toyota Victoria is hiring for a full-time Sales Assistant to join our team!

Job Summary:

Reporting to the management team, you will be working in a high paced environment. You will be assisting with managing, stocking in and distribution of new vehicle inventory. The qualified candidate will also be responsible for managing and updating files for inventory throughout the allocation process, while at the same time ensuring that the inventory is allocated and distributed to the correct team member(s). The qualified candidate will be required to interact with various personnel across the provincial and Canadian dealer network, handling incoming new vehicle inventory trade requests, while managing the flow of inventory as it is allocated to the dealership. Possessing strong organizational qualities is fundamental to the position. The candidate must be able to multi-task and engage staff and associates with a positive attitude.


Our Sales Assistant is responsible for managing new vehicle inventory while completing the following duties:

  • Ensure the work area is clean and tidy.
  • Managing inquiries pertaining to inventory availability from other dealers while at the same time ensuring that inventory is stocked in daily and inventory costs are balanced to dealer invoicing.
  • Helping product advisors and management with information that they need while maintaining a high level of company confidentiality.
  • Professionally answering phone calls and e-mails.
  • Coordinate with various department within the dealership to ensure a smooth transition of incoming inventory to appropriate personnel.
Education and Experience:
  • Front-facing customer service an asset.
  • Experience with CDK One-Eighty an asset.
  • Dealership admin experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent customer service skills with positive and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task without compromising on quality.
  • Extremely dependable and punctual.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data entry skills.
