As a key member of the Experiential Marketing team, the Senior Experiential Marketing Specialist is responsible for strategic development, event conceptualization and end-to-end planning and executing of BMW Canada Events. This role will liaise with agency partners, vendors, retailers, BMW AG, BMW NA and corporate partners. Measurement, evaluation, budget management and end-to-end documenting of national event programs are critical functions. Events may include, but not limited to: virtual event activations, consumer drive experience programs, confidential closed room VIP events, product launches, retailer events, auto shows, brand partnerships, brand sponsorship activities and internal meetings.
Responsibilities include:
  • Have a strong understanding of the BMW global brand strategy and effectively implement and execute this at the national level while adhering to established corporate identity guidelines.
  • Incorporate creative and innovative experiential strategies that connect with consumers, generate and capture brand interest, support the achievement of management targets while maximizing the output of allocated budget.
  • Assist in the planning and drive the execution of BMW Canada's experiential strategy and programs. Maintain current partnerships and continuously evaluate the partnership/sponsorship landscape for future BMW Canada initiatives with focus on continuing to build the brand and elevate customer contact experiences.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of event initiatives and vehicle launch related programs. Working cross functionally to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are informed and engaged to collaboratively help deliver flawless execution of all programs.
  • Responsible for BMW Canada's brand programs and events. Maintain current initiatives and evaluate upcoming calendar focusing on brand building and customer contact initiatives, followed by implementation strategy and delivery.
  • Organize and assist with program management and execution of BMW Retailer Network events, which may include Product Brand Experiences, drive events and national retailer meetings. This includes working closely with agency partners, BMW Retailers and cross functionally within the BMW Group.
  • Responsible for leading and managing event staff, event agencies and ambassadors. Continuous communication with internal departments regarding annual events calendar and initiatives, as well as maintaining open communication with the Retailer Network and field team so they are well informed of key event information.
  • Responsible for maintaining on-going communication with BMW AG and BMW NA on sponsorship programs and events, relaying objectives and providing pertinent information as required.
  • Lead monitoring, analytics and support of CRM initiatives, measurement, strategic recommendation and presentation to management in terms of lead generation and sales funnel targets.
  • Advanced level in attention to detail with strong overall emphasis on creative ideation, project management and budgetary control while strictly adhering to brand guidelines and internal policies.
  • Event wrap up reports, analytics, lead monitoring, measurement, presentation, and strategic recommendations to management.
  • Gain alignment from BMW Retailers for national programs, and support them with strategy, best practices, and operating guidelines for all BMW Canada events, as well as support for local initiatives.
  • Other general duties as required that contribute to the effectiveness of section output.
  • University or College degree, preferable in Marketing.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of marketing experience.
  • Well-developed knowledge of the automotive industry.
  • You must have a valid full-class (G in Ontario) driver's license, access to a vehicle, and be willing to work flexible hours, including evening hours and weekends.
  • Event experience is required.
