The opportunity

This Business Development Manager, Public Sector & Large Corporate Deposits role is responsible for the proactive and external acquisition of ?New to Bank' (NTB) deposits and full-service business clients through delivery of expert value add advice and solutions to large ("Big Game"), complex and diversified commercial and business clients with targeted portfolio size aligned to the most senior Relationship Manager, Commercial and/or Business Development, Commercial of $10MM average. This individual contributor role is primarily focused on attracting and acquiring new clients (80% pursuit and prospecting) and growing existing clients (20% franchising - retain and grow). This seasoned sales developer will deepen the NTB relationships with the cross-sell of Cash Management Products and Solutions and hold the portfolio until "stabilization stage" at which point will be professionally transitioned to the Branch Relationship Manager, Cash Management; referrals to all CWB partners including Retail, Wealth, Commercial, EFG, Real Estate, Maxium, etc., through high touch point customer facing sales activities. An active and concurrent member of the branch deal team including the Branch Manager, Relationship Managers, Commercial, and Retail and Wealth Partners.

Specific Accountabilities

Business development: Strategize, implement, and execute sales marketing plan (call program, self generated leads) to achieve deposit and targets for New to Bank (NTB) clients in the sector.?.

Networking: You will build and maintain phenomenal relationships with product partners, new and current clients and other CWB business divisions.

Sales management: Execute an independent marketing plan that includes considerable portions of time dedicated to a call program and developing self-generated leads, to achieve targeted business growth mix, with a focus on larger mid-market commercial clients.

Support: Actively identify and refer opportunities to team members within the branch and partner companies that will improve the overall client banking relationship.

Foundational Knowledge And Experience To Grow From

  • Post-secondary completion in business, commerce, finance, or sales and marketing (degree preferred),
  • At least 5 years experience in Cash Management, Treasury Management, Payments, and Investment products and services
