About The Role

As Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, you will be responsible for establishing marketing plans using Sephora's marketing levers that drive sales and grow clients for strategic Sephora brand partners and a specific category.

What You'll Do

Brand Marketing Partner

  • Own the brand-marketing relationship, acting as the marketing lead and main contact for 10+ brands
  • Develop a keen understanding of the brands' businesses, priorities and products
  • Navigate brand conversations with senior-most marketing leaders in the brands' organizations
  • Advise brands strategically and tactically on how to win at Sephora from an omni-channel standpoint, including client messaging, creative, advertising, social media and sampling strategy, to achieve mutually beneficial business objectives
  • For select brands with limited marketing means, advise on general marketing strategy and the best use of the brand's marketing resources, both inside and outside of the immediate world of Sephora

Marketing Collaborator

  • Develop strong partnership marketing programs, securing brand participation and co-op funding
  • Analyze and report on Sephora and brand ROI for collaborative marketing program investments, providing insight-driven recommendations that deliver win-win results for both Sephora and the brand
  • Build and maintain annual brand marketing exposure calendars within a continuous planning cycle
  • Manage brand plan execution with excellence, ensuring delivery of all brand activation requirements
  • Identify opportunities and build the business case for new co-op marketing programs and partnerships
  • Manage brand marketing budget

Cross-Functional Leader

  • Serve as the marketing ?go-to' contact for Sephora category merchant(s) of strategic brands
  • Build reciprocal partnerships cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization (including merchandising, dotca, digital marketing, loyalty, store marketing, events, marketing operations, education, planning and analytics)
  • Develop close ties with US counterparts to inform, leverage and influence for the Canadian market
  • Play a critical role in building and evolving the Brand Marketing service model in Canada
  • Bring plans to life through organized process and follow-through
  • Provide constructive creative feedback
  • Demonstrate our Sephora values of passion, innovation, expertise, balance, respect, teamwork and initiative

What You'll Bring

  • 6+ years related experience in brand management/marketing in a consumer-facing, fast-paced working environment (retail and/or beauty an asset)
  • Demonstrated omni-channel marketing experience with strong data-driven decision-making that drives results
  • Proven ability to lead as a creative self-starter with a can-do attitude and roll-up your sleeves approach
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternative solutions/ideas
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with honed presentation confidence to express expertise and point of view in multiple forums and leadership levels
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to drive multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with approachable style and proven ability to build relationships and work effectively in a highly cross-functional team
