WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsibilities

Lead the Launch of a New Brand

With key pieces of our new brand already developed (vision, some visual assets). We now need to round this out and lift the new brand into the world. In this work, you will get to:

  • Be the steward of our vision and story and turn it from a few notes into a song
  • Curate our brand edge and help us lift the Grantbook magic into our work
  • Create and execute on a marketing strategy to grow our brand reach and attract incredible partners to work with whose values reflect our own
  • Build a culture of thought leadership that expands on our blog and podcast
  • Build and polish materials that we can own as IP
  • Communicate our purpose and tell the stories of impact that we're having on the changemakers of the world, both to our internal team and external community

Build a Culture Around Client Experience

We care deeply about the experience our clients have in working with us. Our goal is to continue to elevate this work. In this work, you will get to:

  • Build the story of the client journey into key assets and deliverables
  • Articulate the impact we can offer to new clients that are exploring our services
  • Compile case studies and white papers that act as inspiration for clients beginning their journey with us
  • Support the service design team in building consistent, key deliverable assets that raise the game on services we're delivering for partners

HELP SCALE OUR ORGANIZATION

As a lead role in the Growth team, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your skills in helping to scale a company at a key inflection point. In this work, you will get to:

  • Support the sales team with assets that will land us partnerships with our ideal clients
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members on the Growth Team, including our Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer
  • Support our CEO on strategic client tours by developing vision, messaging, and key assets that can be used to present to prospective clients
  • Develop our content and conference strategy and identify key opportunities for us to showcase our work

Skills & Qualifications

  • University Degree, College Diploma, or Equivalent Experience in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience
  • Experience working within philanthropic and/or nonprofit sectors is strongly preferred
  • You are able to lead marketing channels and strategies, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • You are comfortable managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in a B2B company in professional or technology services or consulting is preferred
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must be highly organized with the proven ability to multitask
  • Strong knowledge of keyword research and SEO, Google Analytics, and paid search is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce, MailChimp, Webflow, Asana, CoSchedule (or similar tools) an asset
  • Proficient in G-Suite (we are a Google shop and are big users of Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or other graphic design tools is a strong asset
  • Graphic design creation for internal and external purposes considered an asset

Compensation & Benefits

Grantbook currently has a tiered salary model where levels and the accompanying compensation are determined by the experience and skills you bring to the team. The Marketing & Brand Lead role sits in Grantbook's Growth & Operations Level C, with a starting salary range of $79,900 - $84,600. In addition, all Grantbook team members will enjoy a bonus - an equal share of a dedicated portion of profits set aside to reward the whole team for exceptional performance on our impact goals.

WHERE WE WORK

Our physical offices are based in Toronto, where the majority of our staff are located. To our staff based in the Greater Toronto area, we offer a flexible hybrid work environment where you can designate yourself ?remote-first? or ?office-first?. We also have several team members in Vancouver and are exploring office space to enable occasional in-person work. Additionally, we will consider exceptional candidates located throughout Canada to work with us remotely.
