What You'll Do

  • Provide consultation to Hiring Managers on all aspects of the hiring process. This includes hiring strategy, recruitment cycle timing, coaching and guidance on best practices and compensation recommendations
  • Consistently deliver a best-in-class experience to all candidates applying to the organization
  • Act as a corporate brand ambassador, leveraging interpersonal interactions and technologies such as social media to communicate and evangelize Moneris' employee value proposition
  • Utilize proactive sourcing techniques to attract top talent to the organization. This includes direct sourcing, database talent pipelining and establishing and nurturing talent communities
  • Convert internal job requirements into attractive job ads tailored to the market
  • Utilize the organization's ATS to manage candidate traffic flow and to effectively source best in class applicants to be presented to hiring managers
  • Develop internal assessment tools (benchmark grids, scoring matrices) to assist managers with hiring decisions
  • Perform interviews (phone, in person, panel) to assist hiring managers in identifying top talent
  • Present and negotiate offer packages with prospective candidates
  • Participate in outreach recruitment strategies including career fairs, co-op and campus programs
  • Involvement with various initiatives and projects focused on enhancing recruitment functionality, efficiency and productivity
  • Comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including but not limited to the HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy
  • Perform other duties, as required

?Must-have Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education and/or Professional Designation:

  • Completion of a post secondary education in a related field of study. An HR related diploma or degree is an asset
  • CHRP designation completed or in the process of completion would be considered an asset
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution

Minimum Experience:

  • Must have 2 - 4 years of full cycle recruitment and selection experience
  • Recruitment experience from both agency and corporate environments will be considered a strong asset

Technical Skills:

  • Strong Computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must have experience utilizing an applicant tracking system
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, manage conflicting priorities and work independently to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to manage clients and vendors to achieve departmental and organizational objectives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to use these skills to engage clients at all levels in the organization.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong team player, who demonstrates a high level of initiative
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate in a matrix organization
  • Attention to detail is required to ensure reporting and administrative systems are accurate and current
