As U.S. Consulate General Halifax's Strategic Communications Coordinator (Press and Social Media Coordinator), you are responsible for planning, designing, creating and delivering messaging on U.S. government policy and activities in Nova Scotia via social media and traditional media sources. This position is responsible for regularly monitoring the Consulate's social media platforms and postings; as well as using audience analysis and analytical data to determine the best way to message to audience members, and then designing and customizing compelling visual and/or multimedia material. Position is also responsible for monitoring regional press and online media to identify stories of importance to U.S. policy and American interests, and coordinating with local media outlets and preparing U.S. government personnel for direct interaction with press and digital media.
