Position: Marketing Specialist

Location: Restaurant Support Centre (Vaughan, Ontario)

Reports To: Performance Marketing Manager

Job Profile and Description

Work for one of the world's most iconic brands and become a key member of the Marketing Team. This role will help redefine the KFC Canada retail and marketing model, building omni-channel performance calendars to drive breakthrough sales growth, and partnering on key business transformation projects. End-to-end project management across calendar plans provides exceptional growth potential with a breadth of leadership opportunity across cross-functional teams and the Franchise environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Performance Marketing Manager to develop long-term strategic initiatives including annual marketing plans and business cases to sharpen calendar strategy.
  • Bring a growth mindset to retail sales planning by building, validating, and executing a performance retail calendar across all key business channels.
  • Lead strategic recommendations across the modern marketing toolset to execute the performance calendar across product, menu, price, and promotions to maximize growth.
  • Responsible for developing and validating concepts through quantitative research studies to help build out the pipeline of value promotional offers
  • Build the brand and drive sales results through management of the direct mail program - analyze and optimize creative, strategy and offer performance. Partner with internal and external partners to execute in market.
  • Support the planning and implementation of menu board revisions for KFC stores across Canada
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, training, operations & supply chain) to execute promotional plans with excellence at an internal and restaurant level.
  • Effectively brief, communicate and partner with key agency partners to build, validate and execute strategy including, but not limited to, consumer and product research, creative agencies etc.
  • Present recommendations to KFC Leadership Team and Franchise forums to inspire, inform and align the business at all levels.

Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing or Business and a minimum of three years' experience in Marketing and/or advertising with a leading retailer, QSR or packaged goods organization/ agency in the restaurant industry
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task with several priorities and thrive on a fast-paced team
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to turn insights into action driven results
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead a divergent group of operators, franchisees and senior management through influence and persuasion
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ambitious, self-starter attitude, with a hunger to learn, grow and challenge the status quo
  • Proficient in MS office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (French, written and verbal) would be considered an asset
