Known as ?The Abnormal Beauty Company?, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, Avestan, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Online Marketing Director who is passionate about creativity and increasing brand awareness.

This role will be based out of our Toronto Head Office.

What You'd Be Doing In This Role

  • Lead end-to-end digital acquisition and retention execution to support DECIEM's global direct to consumer and retail channels including: strategy, planning, forecasting, building, quality assurance, optimization and reporting
  • Manage the brand.com content calendar and campaigns globally ensuring we are creating campaigns and experiences that allow us to reach objectives
  • Lead the go-to-market planning and execution of brand.com including content, product merchandising, marketing strategy, geographic expansion and customer experience design
  • Partner with Online, Brand and Design teams to define and execute scalable multi-channel marketing initiatives, audience and messaging strategies to drive awareness, traffic, and revenue
  • Work closely with Director of Digital Product to understand roadmap and its impact on campaign execution
  • Lead, develop and grow a team of 3-5 digital marketers focused on paid search (SEM), organic search (SEO), paid social, display, email and website channels
  • Work closely with sales team on retailer.com paid media campaigns- using learnings from brand.com to create a holistic view of our media spend
  • Identify creative, innovative, and transformative approaches to business that drive consumer expectations forward while fostering a test and learn environment. Partner with regional commercial business owners to drive program success and development
  • Assist in the launch of a Customer Data Platform allowing us to personalize and segment digital experiences for the consumer. Manage the program post launch to ensure effective use of the platform
  • Own a multi-million dollar marketing budget and ensure it drives a strong ROI tied to both performance and awareness goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry news, best practices and changes in platforms, and identify how they impact existing programs

Skills And Qualifications Needed To Get The Job Done

  • Strong understanding of the beauty industry and consumer sentiment with extensive branding knowledge as related to other industries such as fashion, lifestyle etc.
  • 8+ years experience in digital marketing and 5+ years experience managing people
  • Advanced working knowledge of search engine marketing (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), search engine optimization (SEO), paid social ads (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube), display/programmatic, email (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Customer Data Platforms and web analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Proven ability to develop digital marketing campaigns that adhere to brand values and deliver performance or awareness results. Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to gain alignment when opinions differ. A self-starter, able to work through ambiguity, build processes from the ground up
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on data, experience working in eCommerce and/or loyalty and/or beauty industry is an asset. Knowledge and experience maintaining compliant GDPR marketing and data privacy practices. Out of the box thinker that challenges best practices and industry norms
