The opportunity

As a member of the Client Solutions team, the Product Manager, Cash Management Products will support the development, implementation and promotion of cash management products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position while effectively managing risk. Do you have experience in product management or payments? Are you a creative thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills? Are you confident you can lead initiatives, influence others and work in a fast-paced environment? We have the space for you to grow.

This role will help drive the critical cash management transformation initiative for CWB, providing the products and services our clients find valuable and leveraging the significant investment in digital first banking. You will have the opportunity to participate in all phases of the product lifecycle in building client trust through great digital and in-branch client experiences, strong prudential oversight of a compliant payment ecosystem and dedication to protecting privacy and securing data.

Key deliverables

What Your Day Will Look Like

Strategy: Provide input on the various components of a product strategy including, but not limited to, alignment with the bank's broader strategy, market segments, geography, channel, options for technical delivery, e.g., build, buy or partner, competition, differentiation, speed to market, price and economic logic. Leverage industry and bank data, market research, key learning, and best practices to add value and deliver relevant insights and recommendations.

Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams through the development, product readiness and product launch phases, utilizing exceptional influence and negotiation skills to manage scope, remove barriers and navigate roadblocks

Ongoing Product Management: Maintain relationships with external vendors and third parties to ensure CWB is kept advised of emerging market trends and developments, service levels are adhered to, and costs are as expected and to leverage opportunities to derive additional value when and wherever possible.

Leadership: As a product subject matter expert, provide leadership and expertise to clients, prospects and internal partners and support external thought leadership activities in the payments and receivables space.

Core Knowledge Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product management (or related disciplines).
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, with experience in establishing partnerships and forming relationships with internal teams such as marketing, sales, digital, information services, treasury, legal, compliance, etc.
  • Able to think laterally and find innovative solutions to support strategy.
  • Results oriented and data driven with strong analytical abilities both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex business and technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff, tailoring messages and stories to the appropriate audience.
  • Able to influence and collaborate with partners with diverse points of view and build consensus as well as to establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of partners quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-directed and resourceful, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organization and time management skills with a high level of attention to accuracy and details.

  • Familiarity with the payment industry, clearing and settlement mechanisms and competitors' products and services
