Position Overview
Beakerhead is currently recruiting for a Full-time contractCoordinator, Marketing. The Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a range of marketing programs and campaigns as well as developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms for Beakerhead for the annual festival that takes place September. The Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director of Beakerhead and will work closely with them alongside the Operations Architect. This will be a 14 week full-time contract and is apart of the Canada's summer jobs grant program.
Key Responsibilities
· Help plan, coordinate and execute a year-round range of marketing programs and campaigns.
· Execute a results-driven social media strategy.
· Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms. This includes Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter.
· Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
· Attend events and produce live social media content.
· Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to create a social media calendar.
· Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
· Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
· Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
· Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.
· Ensure team activities are aligned with business and strategic goals of Spark as a whole.
· Model high performance, flexibility and kindness in a rapidly changing growth environment.
· Manage, build and plan for all signage, graphic brand elements and design needs for all business units. Familiar with print, digital and video assets and formats.
· Ensure personal and team activities are aligned with business and strategic goals of Spark as a whole.
· Model high performance, flexibility and kindness in a rapidly changing growth environment.
· Other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications & Knowledge
· A minimum of 6 months experience in marketing.
· Fluency in Microsoft office and Google docs editor suite and able to use most platforms.
· A proven track record of adding value to an organization's culture and initiatives.
· A positive attitude!
· Desire to work on a high performing team with a continuous upgrading culture to achieve high impact results. Fluidity and a desire to work hard and grow are essential.
· A high degree of creativity with the ability to leave your ego at the door.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour.

Eligibility as per the Government of Canada Summer Job Grant:
· The youth hire must be between the ages of 15-30 years of age.
