Position: Marking, Social Media & Digital Content (Intern)
Terms: intern
Hours: between 10-15 hours per week (variable based on time of year)

Summary:
The East Gwillimbury Soccer Club promotes and develops the game of soccer within the community of East Gwillimbury
to help individuals develop their character as resourceful and responsible members of the community. We are in a time
of innovation, evolution and growth.
We are currently seeking a driven and tech-savvy Marketing Intern (paid internship) to join our team and help raised the
profile of the Club in the community. The successful candidate will support our digital marketing efforts, including social
media, content creation, email marketing, and analytics to promote our product to the community at large. The
position encompasses all aspects of the Club's marketing, social media and digital content execution and reports to the
General Manager.
Job Duties:
- Create a social media and marketing strategy for 2023-2024.
- Provide content strategy recommendations.
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media ads across various platforms.
- Support ad contact creation, email marketing campaigns, and other marketing materials
- Conduct keyword research and assist in implementing SEO strategies.
- Create social media templates for pre- and post-game (event) content
- Monitor and report on social media and digital marketing trends and best practices
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications :
- New graduate, or student enrolled, in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools,
- Understanding of SEO/SEM principles
- Marketing-related certifications, skills, and experience would be an asset.
- An interest in soccer/sport would be preferred.
- Strong bookkeeping and financial analysis experience is required.
- Experience in a Not-For-Profit environment is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
