At Throat Threads Apparel, we are actively searching for a dynamic Trade Marketing Specialist who has a genuine passion for fashion and a deep understanding of leveraging today's technology. Positioned in Burlington, Ontario, and working closely with the Marketing Director, the Trade Marketing Specialist will be pivotal in seamlessly coordinating between our sales, warehouse, accounting, and management teams, ensuring that our marketing strategies align perfectly with our business objectives.

As the Trade Marketing Specialist, you will not only shape and drive our marketing initiatives but will also play a critical leadership role, guiding and overseeing a dedicated team towards delivering high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

Seasonal Sales Readiness & Collateral Development:

  • Take the lead in organizing, creating, and deploying essential seasonal sales tools such as catalogs, order entry platforms, photo packs, and market invites.
  • Curate and distribute photo packs tailored for select key accounts spanning all our brands.
  • Assist our sales team with varied tasks including shipments, printing, and other pertinent requests.

Showroom Presentation & Product Photography:

  • Oversee the design, merchandising, and execution of our semi-annual showroom changeovers.
  • Ensure our showrooms are meticulously staged for customer appointments, VIP interactions, and photography sessions, always cross-referencing against our calendar.

Tradeshows & Remote Selling:

  • Take charge of the planning, organization, and seamless execution of seasonal trade shows.
  • Coordinate and execute remote showroom initiatives.
  • Manage the logistics, shipping, and transportation of products and collateral for off-site market selling endeavors.

Digital Assets Management & Sample Coordination:

  • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of our Digital Asset Library in collaboration with third-party partners.
  • Supervise the handling of incoming and outgoing samples specific to photo shoots.
  • Collaborate closely with agencies to capitalize on media product opportunities and enhance our media coverage.

Marketing Administration:

  • Oversee the processing of credits, invoices, marketing inventory, order forms, and shipping documents.

Data Management & Online Merchandising:

  • Ensure our customer-facing portals are regularly updated in alignment with the company's sales calendar.
  • Manage the content calendar to guarantee timely updates and the deployment of key messages across various channels, including our homepage, emails, and social media.

Retail Space Development & Management:

  • Support the planning, design, sourcing, and execution of upcoming shops or fixture deployments.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the presentation of our existing shops.

Special Projects:

  • Aid in the conceptualization and execution of diverse special projects, such as sample sales and exclusive events.

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Education in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a comparable marketing capacity.
  • Proficiency in key platforms like Mailchimp, Shopify, Adobe Suite, and Google Analytics, among other industry-specific tools.
  • Demonstrable passion for fashion trends and their evolution.
  • Proven experience in navigating technology within the fashion or marketing arena.
  • Astute organizational prowess and an eye for detail.
  • Robust collaborative capabilities, backed by a track record of effective cross-departmental coordination.
  • Mastery over Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Inspiring leadership skills with experience in managing and nurturing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • The dexterity to handle multiple projects and meet stringent deadlines.
