Description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop robust technical and business documentation.

Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. Work must be done from within Alberta, due to network and data security issues. Must be Canadian Resident to apply.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

Experience writing and maintaining technical and business documentation. (7+ years)

Experience working as a Technical Writer with a large and complex organization. (7+ years)

Experience working with technical experts, helping to refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content. (7+ years)

Database querying/support (MS SQL or equivalent) (7+ years)

Experience using Microsoft Visio (7+ years)

Knowledge and experience in developing applications that meet requirements specified in Information, Security Management Directives.

Experience with various software development methodologies (i.e. agile, waterfall, scrum, Kanban, etc.). (7+ years)

Nice To Have Skills

The ability to work with minimum mentoring. (3+ years)

Experience and technical knowledge of querying data with SQL (5+ years)

Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Visio (5+ years)

Experience working as a technical writer, supporting documentation of IT related processes, within a large and complex organization. (5+ years)

Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents (5+ years)

Experience documenting processes in an organization using human capital data for workforce analytics and reporting (2+ years)

Experience working with payroll and financial data modelling including typical business practices associated with financial data architecture (2+ years)

Experience interpreting technical processes to non-technical audiences (2+ years)

4 months with 1 possible 6-month extension
